WHAT WE CAN DO
At the present time, the Gordon College Student Health Center is able to:
- Perform urine testing for infection and pregnancy
- Perform throat swab for Strep Throat
- Perform Mono testing
- Check random blood sugar
- Treat MINOR injuries, cuts, abrasions, and burns
- Perform complete physical examinations with vital signs
- Administer nebulizer treatments and check peak flows
- Prescribe medications as directed by protocols
- Refer to the appropriate health care provider if further care is needed
The Gordon College Student Health Center is unable to:
- Perform pelvic exams
- Prescribe birth control
- Invasive laboratory tests (blood draw, cultures)
- Take an X-RAY
- Provide cardiac monitoring
- Provide extended stay monitoring of student
- Perform sports physicals
- Administer immunizations, injections, allergy shots, or insulin
- Suture wounds
