Gordon College

GORDON HELPS YOU GET MORE OUT OF LIFE

Maybe you need advanced training to take your career to the next level.

Maybe you want to challenge yourself by learning a new language.

Or maybe you'd like to learn how to play the mandolin.

Whether you're seeking personal fulfillment or business success, the Department of Community Education wants to help you continue on the path of lifelong learning.

In a typical semester, we offer a wide range of classes, from arts and crafts, to fitness, to basic computing, to professional certification programs. Some classes bring guest speakers to you; others take you on guided excursions. Take a look at our catalog to see what we're offering now!

Note: These catalogs are in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you prefer, you can request a printed catalog.

In addition to classes that meet on our campus, Gordon College offers a number of online training courses. When you enroll in one of these classes, you start when it's convenient for you and do all the work at home. When you have questions, you can ask the instructor assigned to the class. You also have the chance to interact with others enrolled in the same course. Online courses teach everything from photography to medical billing. You even can earn Microsoft certifications such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

To see a complete list of the classes currently offered online and learn more about how online courses work, visit the Web sites for our partners in online training: ed2go and Gatlin Education Services.

The Department of Community Education is also home to the Kid's College Summer Camps, which take place on our campus and focus on sports, science or arts and crafts.

In addition, our department serves as the contact for local groups that want to use Gordon College facilities for a meeting or event. If you are with a nonprofit, government or educational organization, you can find out more about using meeting space on our campus by contacting Patti Lowery at 770. 358. 5126 or pattil@gdn.edu.
