  • Men's Basketball - Head Coach
Coach Israel Ingle begins his second year as the head
men’s basketball coach at Gordon College. Ingle led the
Highlanders to a 17-12 record last year as a non-
sanctioned intercollegiate team. Before that, Ingle was a
member of the coaching staff at Kennesaw State
University for the 2006-2007 season and played at KSU for
his dad, Tony Ingle from 2002-2006. Throughout Ingle’s
playing career at Kennesaw State, the owls dominated the
NCAA Division II ranks from 2002-2005 and had a great deal
of success in their inaugural NCAA Division I season.

As a player, Israel Ingle has more wins than any other
player at Kennesaw State University with an overall
playing record of 96 – 37. The Fighting Owls Won
Peachbelt Conference Championships in 2004 and 2005, a
Peachbelt Conference Tournament Championship in 2004, a
Region Championship in 2004, and were crowned the 2004
NCAA Division II National Champions. Israel was also
named a captain of the first ever NCAA Division I
basketball team at Kennesaw State University for the 2005–
2006 season.

Basketball has always been a family affair for the
Ingle’s. In Israel’s senior year at Kennesaw State, his
brother Golden was the starting point guard, his brother
Tony Jr. served as a member of the coaching staff, and
their dad, Tony Sr. was the Head Coach. Coincidentally,
Israel’s dad also coached at Gordon College in the mid
1980’s.

After finishing 17-12 as a non-sanctioned team last
season, Gordon College felt it was time to move the
basketball program back to NJCAA status. "I'm excited
about the upcoming season and the oppurtunity to be at
Gordon College. We have a great group of players which
should make for a very exciting and competitive first
season."
