ATHLETICS
The Gordon College Highlanders are active participants in intercollegiate sports, including women's and men's cross country, women's and men's soccer, men's basketball, women's fast-pitch softball, baseball, women's tennis, cheerleading, and most recently wrestling and swimming.
Gordon College is a member of the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Membership in these associations entitles state winners in any sport to participate in regional and national competitions.

Woes Continue For Highlanders
What looked like a promising January for the Gordon College Men’s Basketball program has turned into a disappointing February as the Highlanders have dropped their ninth conference game of the season to Atlanta Metro. GC could not stop the Panthers outside game and fell 90 – 63 on Monday night. With the loss, Gordon College is now 13 – 13 but only 2 - 9 in conference play.
02. 05. 2010 - BaseballBaseball Debuts In Florida
The Gordon College Baseball team will try to escape the wet conditions and open their 2010 season on the road in Tallahassee, Florida. The Highlanders will face Tallahassee Community College in a doubleheader on Saturday (Feb. 6). Game time will be determined by the condition of the field.
02. 05. 2010 - SoftballRain Today, No Tournament Tomorrow
The Gordon College Women's Softball team was scheduled to play tomorrow (Saturday) in the Darton College Tournament. Due to the excessive amount of rain, the event has been cancelled.
02. 04. 2010 - SoftballHighlanders Split Opening Series
Sunny skies greeted the Gordon College softball team on Wednesday as they opened the 2010 season at Middle Georgia College. It took an extra inning of play but the Highlanders won their first game of the season 5 – 4. MGC rallied in the bottom of the seventh inning to score two runs and extend the game. The eventual winning run was plated by freshman Kamarin Moon. Sophomores Angela Barkman and Taylor Wilkes combined for six hits in the game while freshman Laura Daughtrey hit a homerun on her first collegiate at bat.
02. 03. 2010 - SoftballSoftball Opens Season Today
The 2010 Gordon College Women’s Softball team will officially begin their spring season today as they travel to Middle Georgia College for an afternoon doubleheader in Cochran. After a very productive fall, the Highlanders are looking forward to this year’s season. Three very talented freshmen will join nine sophomores from last year’s squad including All-Region performers Corby Holmes and Dixie Stewart.

You never know what type of weather you’re going to get in February. After the surrounding area avoided a winter storm over the weekend, two spring seasons at Gordon College will get underway this week hoping conditions will cooperate for both squads. Softball opens the 2010 schedule on the road when they travel to Middle Georgia College for a Wednesday doubleheader while the baseball team will look for warmer weather as they drop south to Tallahassee for a three-game series with TCC on Friday and Saturday.
01. 29. 2010 - Men's BasketballCannon's 31 Points Not Enough
Sophomore DeAndre Cannon poured in 31 points but it was not enough to overcome Atlanta Metro and Tony Dukes Thursday night in Alumni Memorial Hall. Dukes’ 38 points led the Panthers to another important conference win and a 104 – 87 victory over the Highlanders.
